The group offers folk fusion from another dimension, blending traditional Veracruz, Mexico son jarocho with Colombian styles like cumbia and champeta, all carried by an irresistible swing. A mix of traditional and electric instrumentation fuels particularly sweaty, vital concerts that feel equal parts dance party and community gathering.Founding members Juan Carlos Marin, a master requinto player, and Gabriella Grimaldi, on fiddle, are joined by bandmates contributing vocal harmonies, jarana, drums, bass, zapateado, electric guitar, tambor alegre, quijada, tambora, maracas, and piano.
