Why Sell Your Records to Us?

At The Vinyl Groove, we’re not just a record store, we’re passionate collectors who understand the sentimental and musical value of vinyl. Items we typically look for include, but are not limited to:

Music: Vinyl lp’s, 45s, Cassettes, CDs, Factory reel tapes and 8 tracks
HiFi Equipment: Turntables, Amplifiers, CD players, Receivers, Speakers, etc.
Apparel: Band T-shirts, Tour shirts, Band related wear
Pop Culture Items: Music related magazines, Books, Etc.

Please Keep in mind, it takes time to process your items, especially LP’s.

Please call ahead when bringing in large collections to see what our current lead time is. some large collections of LP’s may take a few days for us to process and go through thoroughly to present the best offer possible.

Selling to The Vinyl Groove

We’re always buying records, CDs, gear, and more. Here’s what we look for and how it works.

Requirements:

• Seller must have a valid driver's license or photo ID

• Items should be in good general condition

BUYING POLICIES:

CDs (Compact Disc)

Generally speaking, we pay a flat rate of $1 a piece for MOST discs. Why $1? This is since the majority of used CDs are sold for $4 or less in stores. Of course, out-of-print, obscure, and some box sets would be the exception.

LPs (Vinyl Records)

We buy from a wide range of genres, including but not limited to: All types of Rock n’Roll, Country, Soul & R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Punk, Metal, Blues, Reggae, Soundtracks, or obscure. We pay 20-45% of the current market value on clean records. We do not do appraisals over the phone, sorry!

Cassettes, Reel To Reel, and 8-track Cartridges

We buy rock, soul, and Hip-hop only in these categories. Exceptions are always made for a unique country or experimental collection. Items should be in their original cases, 8-track labels must be visible and not “road worn”. Generally, we offer 20-40% the current market value on these items.

HiFi Equipment

This is a unique category. Generally, pieces should be in functioning condition with minimal abuse. Exceptions do exist when it comes to units that can be restored or salvaged for parts.
