Myron Davis Brings Independent Artist Month to The Vinyl Groove
Mark your calendar for July 8. Cleveland artist Myron Davis is playing a live in-store set at The Vinyl Groove and we could not be more excited to have him in the shop.
The night is part of Independent Artist Month, the July campaign Myron founded to put independent musicians front and center. He launched it in 2025 to give artists a platform built on community instead of gatekeepers and the first year pulled in more than 300 artists. Year two, the 2026 Elevation Edition, runs all month with live events, a compilation, a documentary and a year-round artist community.

Myron co-wrote Dru Hill's Billboard Top 5 hit "Tell Me" and has spent more than two decades making music on his own terms, helping other independent artists build their sound and strategy outside the traditional industry machine. That build-it-yourself spirit is the whole engine behind I.A.M. and exactly why we wanted him in our shop.
In his words: "Independent Artist Month started as a simple idea: artists supporting each other. What we saw in 2025 was proof that when artists come together we can create real momentum without waiting for permission."
Here is what to expect on the 8th. An intimate live performance right here in Old Brooklyn, the kind of up-close set where the sound, the stories and the room all come together. Doors at 7 PM and it is free to get in, so show up and be part of it.
We want this room packed. Bring a friend and come hear an independent Cleveland artist do what he does best.
When you post from the night, tag it #IndependentArtistMonth and #IndieSoulSummer so the whole community can find it.
See you July 8.
